Meet Gina
Gina Mitten is a lifelong Democrat and public servant with deep roots in the St. Louis community.
From a single mom working while attending night school to respected attorney, community leader, and State Representative, Gina’s journey reflects resilience, integrity, and a fierce commitment to the people she serves.
She brings firsthand experience of the challenges working families face—and a long history of fighting for them.
A leader with a proven record
Gina has spent over 15 years serving her community in elected office—first on the Richmond Heights City Council and then in the Missouri House of Representatives.
On the Council, she championed transparency, community engagement, and smart planning. During her eight years in the Missouri House, Gina led with courage and principle. She helped revise House rules to protect interns, led high-profile investigations into misconduct by state leaders, and served in key leadership roles including Caucus Chair and Assistant Floor Leader.
As a member of several committees, including Judiciary, Ethics, Oversight, and Consumer Affairs, she built a strong record on transparency, accountability, and standing up for everyday Missourians.
